Tri-Valley Rapid Launching in January 2011
Tired of sitting in traffic on the congested Interstate 580? Don’t fret any longer, Rapid transit is near.
The Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA) expects to begin Rapid service on January 24, 2011. The operator of the Wheels bus system provides local and public transit service to the cities of Dublin, Livermore and Pleasanton.
Rapid will run all day, Monday through Friday, from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. It will also run every 10 minutes during the weekday commute peak hours to make it easier to and from local BART stations.
Why not try it out? Rapid is inviting Tri-Valley commuters to ride for free. Yes, you can ride Rapid FREE during the first two weeks of service (January 24 - 28, 2011 and January 31 – February 4, 2011). According to Rapid, no coupons, tickets or passes are needed to ride during that time.
